Simplifying Storage Management and Advancing Security with Software-Defined Data Centre

Data center virtualization has provided dramatic benefits to IT organizations through improved economics driven by server consolidation. However, the virtualisation of servers is just the first step on a journey towards a agile, efficient, dynamic and responsive IT organization. The software-defined data center is VMware’s architecture for the public and private clouds where all pillars of the data center - compute, storage, and networking are virtualized. This session will examine the storage and network component of VMware’s SDDC. More specifically, how Virtual SAN and NSX will provide flexible, elastic, non-disruptive scaling of storage resources and bring security inside inside the data center with automated fine-grained policies.
